“geometric chess squares in the foreground, if you can pull it off. i imagine its a tricky perspective thing to do the squares right. if its difficult to do a board for the foreground, you could just do a single rough edged square with the torn out of the earth effect, the background should be dark colored, no bright colors anywhere in the painting except for on the belt. background could be dark with a lighter aura around the chess piece, or a horizon with a stormy look, a king chess piece, with a blue belt around its waist, except you might have to change the chess piece a bit so it has a waist near the middle, where the belt can go.”
