I’ve never painted from a live model until yesterday. I found out about a long pose meetup and went to The Atelier School of Classical Realism with two of my friends. We had a great time, though I might not go back. Painting from one pose for so long was a little boring, though I felt grateful to have enough time to get the shading right. After that, though, I sprung into the abstract and then the surreal, no longer looking at the model.
