I made this a week ago, inspired by my Lei Day party theme.
Also a birthday present. A conversation about maintaining objective reality about everyone but the speaker made me think of a nebulous figure in a realistic setting.

A present for Dmitriy. I thought I was going to paint a city scene of Kiev, but I didn’t want to be boring.
Inspired by Mike O’s angles on his painting, I drew these “Space People”– reference to Dali’s Space Elephants.
Last Saturday, painted some with Mike O. He’s really inspiring. We worked on some paintings together. He came up with the concepts for these. And I helped with the colors. He described the painting with the lines to me before he started. He said when he slept over at a lover’s house, he groggily awoke with the feeling of human contact and the painting tries to describe what a dream addled brain deciphers the sensation of bodies touching.
Bored at work. Thought I’d make little postcards. The watercolor tube that blue came in was somehow sealed with a thick foil and no way to puncture it. So, no blue.
