  • Last night I was hanging out at Value Village looking at objects. A strange figurine, I saw with a horse inside of a horse. Just like this. Creative cage? A mother’s untimate sacrifice? Swiss horse? Interesting, none the less.

  • My printer just ran out of black ink, so I can’t print out any new reference photos. Here’s another version of the unicorn. Enjoy.

  • I didn’t like the background before… too mushroom art-ish. I felt this worked. Conveys a curious feeling. I like working with yellow, more than I realized.

  • In Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, by Haruki Murakami has a short story regarding golden, single-horned beasts with gold fur and blue eyes.

  • I’m not sure I’m done with this, but I don’t want to put something lame on it. As it is, a question mark that questions itself. Correctional fluid and Acrylic on Wood, 9.5×8.5in.

  • Yesterday, I saw the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. It was a beautiful shallow movie. Much like most of Gilliam’s work. I really enjoyed the flat stage-esque trees in the mirror world. Here’s my interpretation on that theme. Note to self: get white bulbs.

  • Last night I had a dream about someone, decided to draw inspiration from him. His snake figures into this picture. I have a thing for deer recently, so I threw that in. I started the deer with pink and the rest of the scene took shape from there.
