Part of what promises to be a new series that will help me with French vocabulary.

I have a box of french flashcards that I pull randomly from. Another one I pulled and cannot think of a picture for “nettoyer.” It means to clean.

First off, I loved that secquence in Fantasia with the pegasi and centaurs. I always thought they were elegant and graceful. Woodland creatures of winter has been my theme recently. A painting prayer for snow, perhaps. Here’s me as Mr. Tumnus.
Short legs. Thanks to Dan for the comment about the brown trees.
Hurakami’s “What I talk about when I talk about running” mentions a white heron flying over him while he’s running. I don’t remember the last heron I’ve had in a painting, but it’s been too long. The deer’s head looked too small, so I added petals. Ear/Antlers= Earlers….? Don’t ask me about the flower hanging upside down… I’ll tell ya, anyways. The paint dripping looked too much like a sperm for me to leave it as it was.
“If I am driving, I may have a commission for you, I can work on the message later….a forest floor a-flutter with birds, little chains about their limbs, grazing deer, little blood spots, empty shackles.”
Working on a commission is painting blind. I don’t see the image, just the components. I don’t know how detailed the image is, so the impression is ephemeral, a ghost of a painting. I am not sure if I am finished with this or if it’s a rough draft of something beautiful and intricate to come.
